A fresco with sunny colors, a paradise of grape varieties and olive trees, an ancient hamlet with saline colors where the houses seem to rise from the cliff of the long and narrow marine area. The first historical testimonies to Manarola date back to the second half of the 13th century, and they are linked with the facts of the domination exercised by the Fieschi family from Lavagna. This family was in conflict with the Republic of Genoa, but they were defeated in 1273, when the Superba sent a fleet consisting of 14 galleys to hinder the rebel Niccolò Fieschi, lord of the hamlet.
